NATIVE COPPER (Copper/Bronze Candy) - Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is famous for copper found in its natural metallic form. Indigenous peoples mined and worked this copper thousands of years before modern mining began. Some pieces form twisting shapes that look like tiny metal branches!

PETOSKEY STONE (Speckled Tan or Gray Candy) Michigan’s official state stone is actually fossilized coral that lived in a warm, shallow sea about 350 million years ago. When polished, its hidden honeycomb pattern appears—like a tiny piece of ancient sea life frozen in stone! Michigan state symbols⁠
